I’m not going to lie, the last couple of months have been crazy for me. The spiritual warfare has been beyond me, but ooh man, God is so faithful. When you trust in the Lord, He knows exactly how to deliver you. Why? Because there is literally no situation He can’t deal with. If only we put our trust in Him. Today, I am going to share some keys He released to me while dealing with impossible situations.

Jesus wept!

The biggest challenge I faced when going through my situations was my relationship with God. You know, when you have a good, genuine, intimate relationship with God, your expectations are different. You feel like you should be protected and delivered from all troubles, especially when you consider yourself to be God’s friend. You have faith and know God, and you believe in the goodness of God even when trouble comes. You may even be mature, have gone through some things and know that things happen sometimes, but God is still with you.

But there come situations in your life where you question where He is in all of this. You know you have a relationship with Him, you are coming to the end of yourself, the enemy is ramping up like crazy, ready to take your life, and God is nowhere to be seen, and there is no response from Him. So I was questioning God for days about my situations, and Jesus finally responded. He reminded me of the Bible verse – Jesus wept!

I never fully understood it before, but now it all makes sense. Let me explain. Lazarus was Jesus’ friend too. He wasn’t just a random guy on the street or a stranger – another person Jesus was helping. He was His friend! They knew each other, they were close and they had history, and yet Lazarus was attacked heavily by the enemy with sickness, and he died. Even though he knew Jesus, he was overcome by the enemy at this point. It was a little differently then because, at the time, the power of darkness, the grave and death had not been overcome by Jesus, so unless Jesus moved on his behalf, he couldn’t live. I don’t want you to misunderstand it here.

Jesus showed up to the situation and He wept! He didn’t do anything yet, but He saw what the enemy did and He wept! Have you ever been in a situation and wondered where He was in all of it? Let me tell you, sometimes He cries about what is happening to you. A couple of months ago, I was praying about a certain situation, wondering what God wanted me to do regarding it: should I just drop it, move on or remain in it and help out? The Holy Spirit started to cry through me. I didn’t know what was happening behind the scenes then, but He cried so heavily through me and told me they had all abandoned this person and God was heartbroken about this. Sometimes, He just needs a vessel to express what is on His heart and people who would pray for the situations that people are going through, rather than be quick to leave and abandon them because we don’t necessarily see success that we would expect. I am sharing this to show that God sometimes cries because of what you are going through!

And you have permission to be real and raw with God too. Sometimes, life hits hard and we feel like we have to pretend that everything is OK or we have to hide what we are really going through, but God wants us to be real with ourselves and our emotions. If you don’t feel like you can share it with anybody else, share it with God or have a journal where you can express yourself. God wants you to speak to Him about how you feel. Sometimes, when I am hurt and avoid topics, He would literally tell me, “Tell Me about this”, and then I know He wants me to speak to Him about my pain. Sometimes, He does it to expose something deeper going on. I was once mistreated by someone. I was like, not a big deal, just brushed it off, and when I was on a walk, God told me, “Tell Me about this situation.” When I started to speak to Him about it, it exposed a much deeper wound than I even thought it was. He does it to reveal to you what is in you so He can heal you.

So why didn’t He step in?

There are many things to consider that would have to be unpacked here, but I will only share a couple that are on my mind – people have free will and can do what they want. Even Christians do things that are not right in God’s eyes, so yes, Christians hurt you too, just in case you didn’t catch up on this one yet. People get it wrong too, you know. We see and prophesy in part, and don’t always have the full picture. So sometimes, we need to lower the expectations we place on people so we are not hurt more by them because sometimes, it's not about what they did. but what you expected of them.

Another reason why He may not have stepped in is because of a lack of knowledge or revelation in the area. The Bible says that my people perish for lack of knowledge. So, for example, you are dealing with sickness but don’t have a revelation that Jesus has died on the cross for your sickness too, and you have the right to be healed by the blood. You may die from the sickness unless God has mercy on you and uses someone who has the revelation. It is a blessing from the Lord to meet the right people at the right time because we don’t all have the same revelations and help each other out when we are still not there. I have been dealing with something for years, praying about it, seeking the Lord for answers, going deeper to finally get anointed to deal with it, and then one day I was helping someone and he prayed for me. I don’t think he even said one sentence, and it just left me like that. I was shocked – I am here dealing with this for years, and for him, it was gone just like that, haha. So yes, the right people can be a blessing, so don’t disregard people and be open to receiving help when needed.

And sometimes, God puts you in situations because He wants to give you revelations and the anointing to deal with them for yourself, and this is what He did for me. When you are under attack and in different life situations, it teaches you to be more dependent on God and rely on Him. It teaches you to stand on the Word of God and His ways and look for His truths. I needed to find out what the Word of God had to say about my situation and declare His Word through it all. Jesus has conquered the power of darkness, He has overcome the world through the blood of Jesus, and the enemy is under His feet! He told me, “I went to the underworld for you to get the keys from Satan – Satan has no power over you!” I wept! He did that for me! Some things you know in your head, but it hits differently when you are in a situation and receive a revelation of it.

Are you walking in faith?

Faith is the currency of heaven, and you need it to receive a miracle. Sometimes, we don’t receive because we don’t ask. It always stood out to me that Jesus asked people what they wanted. Even in the most crazy and obvious situations, where you would expect that Jesus would know that they need healing, He still asked. Why? Because you would think that they would want healing, but they don’t always want it. People sometimes need the situation for attention, because they can moan about their life, or it’s their crutch that they are holding on to. You need healing and wholeness to receive what God has for you. And Jesus is patient with you even when you are not ready to get your miracle.

I remember years ago, Jesus asked me to let go of something, and I tried many times to let go, and I couldn’t, even though I knew that Jesus wanted me to release it. I didn’t even say anything to God, and Jesus told me, “You are not ready to let go. I will give you a couple of months to let go.” I was shocked that He gave me time rather than condemn me for it. And surely, once I grew in strength a little more, I released what He asked for. So we are not always ready, but He knows it and will work with us until we are. We just have to let Him work on our hearts until we are ready to release.

You need faith for your miracle. The situation may seem helpless, but there is no situation that is beyond Him. He has conquered the power of darkness, hell, death, sickness, your anxiety or whatever else you may be dealing with. Invite Him into the situation, declare His Word and life over it, and wait for every situation in your life to be resurrected, just like Jesus resurrected Lazarus. Jesus wept, but then He overturned the situation and brought His life into it. It was dead, and He brought it back to life, and that is what He can do for you if only you trust Him, walk in faith and receive His salvation for every situation.
